Furthermore,topics covered will be; Soil Investigation, BOQ, MTO& introduction toMan Hour Estimation /Soil Improvement Techniques / Blast Resistant Design /Design for Buoyancy /Precast Piperacks, pipe sleepers / RFQ process e.g. RFQ for Soil Investigation, site grading, Piling, Civil Works etc.
The students will obtain the ability to do hand calculations (& guidance to develop spread sheets) for the design of commonly usedProcess Plant Facility elements viz. types of Slabs, Stairs, Beams, Corbels, Columns, Pedestals, shallow /deep foundations (pile-pile caps), Foundations for various plant equipment’s (static – rotary– Tankages – Spheres), Flare Stack or Chimney Foundation , pipe racks, pipe sleepers, Design of various types of Underground drainagesystems, Trenches, Pits, Box Culverts, Roads, Pavements , Dyke walls, Retaining Walls, Water Tanks etc. The course will contain regular assignments, Mock Interview, Professional Dress Code tips, Final Examination, Certification.
